2015年，夏之光以鍛鍊下面試經驗的心態去報名才藝養成節目《燃燒吧少年》，結果順利通過。11月21日，參與錄製的《燃燒吧少年》在浙江衞視播出。在第一期節目中，夏之光作為第2位選手登台，以演唱一首賈斯汀比伯的《Boyfriend》被掌門人舒淇選入隊伍，之後被舒淇安排與陳澤希搭檔組合。12月5日播出的第三期首次“雪藏戰”節目中，夏之光與陳澤希搭檔表演《黃豆》，獲得評委們打出的平均分9.32，累積成績排名第四。12月12日第四期中，在以水為元素的平面照拍攝的偶像任務打分中，獲得8分（10分制）；舞台上，夏之光與陳澤希和賓俊傑首次以三人組合進行表演《Get Down》；此場表演最後以總分31分排名第三。

夏之光，2000年1月4日出生於安徽合肥，中國內地男歌手，畢業於上海戲劇學院附屬舞蹈學校。
2015年，夏之光作為選手參加浙江衞視《燃燒吧少年！》節目。之後，作為團體成員之一首次公開表演亮相於浙江衞視“奔跑吧2016”跨年演唱會舞台。
媒體評論稱，在《燃燒吧少年！》節目首秀中，給自己下定義是“大男人”的夏之光在後續節目裏表現一點也不大男人，是一個反差萌的小男生。
安徽省舞蹈家協會會員王萍則評價夏之光，“學動作也快，你做一個動作，他能很快學會。他是男子舞蹈隊最能吃苦，也是學習能力最強的孩子”。
